Flying with Kids
Taking children on a trip can be challenging, but parents can apply some helpful tips to make the job easier and simpler. Always check-in at the airport ahead of time. With kids in tow, you will have to prepare beforehand from packing up to checking in. Whenever possible, choose a seat next to a vacant one so you can settle your toddler there.
To get better assistance from cabin crew, get on the plane first and off last. Use a harness to allow your toddler to walk around the terminal, but still keep him close at hand. Pack diaper change necessities and place them somewhere accessible. Take your own baby dining utensils, those he likes, to make feeding easier. Pack toys and bring them out one by one to maximise their entertainment value. Use the baby’s sleeping bag instead of scratchy airline blankets to avoid skin rashes.
