Mother and Baby’s Health
Part of preparing for birth is taking care of both the mother and baby’s health. During pregnancy, both the mother and baby are sharing food. It is, therefore, appropriate for the mother to take good care of her health. She should choose a health-care provider for pre-natal check-ups and delivery procedures. She may hire an obstetrician, family physician, or nurse-midwife. She should decide her preferred method of giving birth.
Likewise, the mother should prioritise her baby’s health. She may choose a paediatrician or family physician to care for the child. She needs to stay away from alcohol, nicotine, and caffeine while pregnant. She has to take in nutritious food and supplements that enhance the development of the foetus inside her womb. She has to make sure she gets enough rest. It is always a joy to have a baby, more so if it is a healthy one.
